Happy Halloween!!

You made it, 31 days of absolutely awesome creations from some of the most inspirational people I know! It's the night that all my friends and little kiddies come together for a big Halloween party!

There are lots of giggles, candy handed out at the door and Halloween movies to watch.  We saw Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hotel Transylvania - well bits of it, there was too much fun happening!

There was candy, cupcakes, dips and chips.  There was also party pies, chicken chipeez and the most amazing vege platter.  Here's a few photos so you can share in the fun!

These guys are Spoderman (not to be confused with Spiderman) and Pepe the Frog - both are very big in the meme world according to the teenagers that requested them lol  I carved them up this afternoon before making a Wednesday Addams costume, cleaning the house, preparing the party and getting myself in costume!

It's Halloween Eve!!! Can you believe we made it - one creation for every day of October, and so much inspiration from all the other bloggers that you can poke a wand at!

Today I've created a card using a sweet little witch image from Rick St Dennis. I don't think she's a nasty witch, I imagine she's more of a bumbling witch that randomly blows things up and picks the wrong potions.  She definitely doesn't eat children, but instead lives on candy and spider-web fairy floss.  That snake up there doesn't have a mean bone in his body either and is actually afraid of anything that moves - that's why he sits atop her hat all the time.

I coloured the image with Copics, glossed the snake and Witchpoo's eyeballs.  Then added some ink and gems.

With all the Halloween decorations some of the "finger food" got in the photo (sorry, not sorry).  I went for a lovely swishy purple background and some potion bottles.  I also used a strip of eyeballs that I glossed up.  The little doily is Doodlebug Designs like the papers.  I had some little acetate bats and cauldrons so I added them too.

It's all about the candy today! I found some Nerds while shopping, added them to test tubes and loved the result!  I thought they would look even better with little holders.

I created the holders by measuring around the test-tubes and kind of winging it lol.  I tend to make things on the fly! Once I cut and folded the black cardstock I then cut some patterned paper to adhere on top.  I also inked the edges of the patterned paper.

The test-tubes have little rosettes that I made, added little green discs to, with doodling, and then a Doodlebug Designs sticker words.  The top of the test-tube has a cardstock disk and a little skull bead.

These are so fun to make, and the perfect little gift to give away.

It's time to share the third memory dex card in my set! I used a template from My Scrap Chick to trace the pattern onto black Bazzill cardstock.  I doodled a white line around the edge with a white Signo pen.  I used some patterned paper and tore the edge off and then inverted it.  The Doodlebug Designs paper that I used are double sided and co-ordinate beautifully with each other.  Then I cut out the little mummy from Doodlebug Designs paper and wrapped some fibres around the entire card.  I tucked in a candy corn diecut and a little foam Frankie head.  The papers that I have had lots of little tickets and words printed on one side, so I cut out one and inked the edges and scrunched it up a little.  Lastly I added some tiny pompoms and some gems.

Oh I almost forgot. I popped on some googly eyes and a little spider.

Here are all three cards together. As you can see the tabs at the top differ on each card.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 27

It's the 27th of October and it's time for my 27th creation.

Today I made the second Memorydex card in my series of 3.  This one is all about bottles of bubbles and googly eyes!  I used a template from My Scrap Chick and traced the image onto black Bazzill cardstock.  I cut out the picture from Doodlebug Designs papers and embellished with gems, a spider and some twine.

The patterned paper has been inked with black ink and the black cardstock has been doodled around with white pen.

I also added a pumpkin and BOO! diecut and a skull pick.  I love Doodlebug Designs papers, they are all double sided and perfect for small projects like Memory Dex cards.  The opposite side of the purple paper is the eyeball paper, and there is a colourful stripy pattern on the reverse of the cute image.
